About UM  SASE

The 2018 Midwest Regional Conference will be hosted in Ann Arbor, MI with the collaboration of the respective Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers chapters at the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.

The University of Michigan SASE chapter was founded in October 2010,  and has expanded with the help of the various departments across campus. SASE at Michigan aspires to better represent as well as support Asians involved in science and engineering across campus. Additionally, we also strive to help create a community for individuals with similar interests and career paths. As of today, there are over 200 general members as well as 40 board and committee members.

Michigan State University’s SASE was founded in September 2012. Since then, we are dedicated to the advancement of Asian heritage scientists and engineers in education and employment so that they can achieve their full career potential. In addition to professional development, SASE also encourages members to contribute to the enhancement of the communities in which they live. We do so by volunteering to give back to the communities.  We are excited to be co-hosting with University of Michigan’s SASE for the first ever SASE Mid-West Regional to be hosted in Michigan. Together we will make 2018 Mid-West conference unforgettable and an enriching experience for all participants.
